Before my accident, I was single, lived with my parents, was into computers, was a Venture Scout leader and had three cars; a Toyota Celica, a 1966 Ford Mustang and a kit car under construction.

1994
On February 10th, whilst on holiday with friends in Scotland, four of the group decided to go skiing. As me and one friend can't ski, we went for a walk instead. We walked from near where we were staying to where the others were skiing. On the way back nearly at the car and we had to climb down this little cliff. I slipped, fell, and was rendered unconscious. My friend made me safe, and then went for help. While he was away, I slipped again, still unconscious, only stopping when my head hit a rock. I spent the rest of 1994 in Ipswich hospital.

1995
On January to March, I went to Addenbrookes Hospital to their rehab centre. My condition improved considerably and I was able to return home and continue my treatment as an outpatient.

1996
I was up at Ipswich hospital most of the week. I had Physio twice a week. The rest of the time I spent at Headway Ipswich. Me and my Dad started swimming at the Thomas Wolsey School.

1997
I started going to Headway Colchester. I had a trial back at BT. I also had a trial at Papworth, but stopped it because I wasn't really ready. I started swimming at Felixstowe.

1998
I was at Papworth for most of this year, ending in a trial back at BT.

1999
BT medically retired me. I went to the Ipswich version of Papworth (Papwich) two days a week. On Monday, I went to the Maclean Wheelchair Centre as a receptionist. The rest I spent at home.

2001
In the summer, on Wednesday evenings, I go sailing with my Dad at Levington. I go to Headway, Ipswich 3 days a week, and nothing else. On Saturdays, I go swimming on Saturday with my Dad at Felixstowe. I stopped going to the Maclean Wheelchair Centre and then Papwich. Nowadays, I only go to Headway, Ipswich where I produce their newsletter and do various posters & other things on the computer. I am confined to a wheelchair and have very limited use of my right side.

2003
I only attend Headway Ipswich and Bodymatters (a physiotherapy gym nearby at St Clements hospital). My opinion or Headway Ipswich has changed. I am now more actively involved, I produce the newsletter, have designed their web site, I take my Lego in once a week and somebody there (Ian) helps me to build it. In the future, I should be building web sites for other people on behalf of Headway.

2004 - Now
Nowadays, I attend Headway twice a week. During the summer, I go sailing with my Dad at Levington of an evening. On Saturday evenings, if our social calendar allows it, me and the old men go swimming at Felixstowe. I maintain some web sites (click on Sites I've done above).
